City of Springfield, Ohio Welcome to the City of Springfield

Help us Protect our Rivers and Streams by Reporting Illegal Dumping

No Dumping

Many of the storm sewers in the City of Springfield drain directly to our creeks and waterways and do not go to the City's wastewater plant for treatment. Therefore, it is important to prevent the introduction of materials into these drains which could cause problems in the receiving streams.

Examples of Prohibited Discharges to Storm Drains and Streams:

  • waste oils and grease
  • paints and associated products, like thinners, solvents, chemicals, etc.
  • solids of any kind
