Fire Division
The core functions of the Springfield Fire Rescue Division are fire suppression, emergency medical response, hazardous materials response, fire prevention and education. The Department also provides other programs to include child passenger safety restraint installations, CPR training, fire extinguisher/fire safety training and smoke detector installation.
When not responding to emergency calls, we conduct training and routine testing of fire hoses. We are a delegated authority for underground/aboveground tank installs/removals.
