Be Fire Safe
With just a few steps you can have a fire safe home.
- Fire Escape Plan
- Gather the family and plan out how everyone would exit if there was a fire.
- Consider different situations like daytime and nighttime exit plans.
- Smoke Detectors
- Install detectors on every level of the home, outside sleeping areas, and inside bedrooms.
- Replace batteries - March 14, Daylight Savings is a good time.
- Prevent Home Fires
- Keep matches and lighters out of the reach of young children.
- Exercise caution when using candles. Do not leave candles unattended or lit while sleeping.
- Use an ash tray when smoking and never smoke in bed.
