Dan Martin is an Assistant Attorney General for environmental enforcement for the State Of Ohio. He has been admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio and the United States District Court, Southern Division. His professional associations include the American and Ohio bar associations.
As a 1990 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Wittenberg University in political science, Dan was a political science honors graduate, a member of the Wittenberg Honors Society, and a presidential scholar. He wrote and presented papers at undergraduate research seminars. He then graduated from the University of Dayton School of Law in 1995.
He was a Walter Rice Moot Court semi-finalist, president of the Environmental Law Society, a research assistant and received an award for constitutional law while at the University of Dayton.
Dan and his wife Holly married in 2005. Their son Michael was born in 2008.
In 2010, Mr. Martin began his fourth consecutive four-year term as City Commissioner. He served as assistant mayor of Springfield in 1998, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2010, and 2011.
Mr. Martin represents the City Commission on the following boards:
